The old Chicago Corner Church located on the Batson's Cemetery property is undergoing restoration after vandals nearly destroyed the old church. Dale Pierce is leading the restoration project on the old church along with his wife and several other volunteers. A new Tin Roof has been installed. Windows are finished and ready for installation. The interior work is still ahead. The right half of the front door needs to be rebuilt. Mayor Sherman Boles of New Castle, IN, a well known carpenter, plans on doing the work. The work is progressing along, slowly but surely and should be completed by this summer. Come on out and volunteer your services.

After the restoration is completed there are plans to have a Rededication and Memorial Services in the restored church.
